Professor Pourkashanian is the Head of Energy Institute at the University of Sheffield, the Managing Director of the Translational Energy Research Centre and the Sustainable Aviation Fuels Innovation Centre, leads the University of Sheffield’s Energy2050 initiative, holds a chair in Energy Engineering and is the General Secretary of International Flame Research Foundation (IFRF). In 2023, Professor Pourkashanian received an Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Net Zero Research and Innovation. He is a member of the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF): Industrial Decarbonisation Advisory Group responsible for Hydrogen theme, a member of Defence Supplier’s Forum Climate Change & Sustainability (DSF CCS) Aviation Working Group and a Fellow of the Energy Institute and a Chartered Engineer. He has completed numerous major research projects on clean energy technology, receiving substantial grants from the EPSRC, EU, and NATO. His research is in the field of future clean and sustainable energy technology with a focus on multi-scale energy processes, zero/low carbon aviation fuels, and next generation CO2 capture technologies. He and his students have authored over 498 publications in refereed journals and have co-authored several books. Professor Pourkashanian has graduated over 105 PhD candidates and supervised over 40 postdoctoral scholars and research associates.

Dr. Zheng Hong (George) Zhu is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at York University in Canada. He holds the title of founding Co-Director of Centre for Manufacturing Technology Entrepreneurship and the Space Engineering Lab at the same University. He had served as the Director of Space Engineering undergraduate program in the Department of Earth and Space Science and Engineering, Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Inaugural Academic Director of Research Commons in the Office of Vice-President Research & Innovation at York University. His research interests include dynamics and control of tethered space systems, space robotics, computational mechanics and control, machine learning, 3D printing in space, and CubeSat technology. He has authored 210 peer-reviewed journal papers and 166 conference articles. Dr. Zhu is an elected member of International Academy of Astronautics, College Member of the Royal Society of Canada, Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Canada, Engineering Institute of Canada, Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers; an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Senior Member of IEEE. He is the recipient of the 2019 Ontario Professional Engineers Award - Engineering Medal R&D from Professional Engineers Ontario, the 2024 Solid Mechanical Medal and the 2021 Robert W. Angus Medal from Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering, and the 2022 President's Research Excellence Award from York University.

Ruxandra Mihaela Botez is the Director of LARCASE, which she founded in 2003, and a Professor in the Systems Engineering Department at ÉTS. She has held the Canada Research Chair in Aircraft Modeling and Simulation Technologies since 2011. Dr. Botez is a world-class Researcher who holds numerous titles and distinctions: Editor-in-Chief of the INCAS Bulletin; Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) in the United Kingdom, the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI), the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE) and the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM); and Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Her main areas of research include optimization of flight trajectories through the use of flight management systems. She has made major contributions in the areas of design, modeling and simulation of aircraft, helicopters and autonomous flight systems, along with validation using experimental data from wind tunnel and flight testing.

Junhui Hu received his Ph.D. Degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in 1997, and B. E. and M. E. degrees in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University, China, in 1986 and 1989, respectively. Currently he works for Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, China, as a full professor. His research interest is in ultrasonic manipulations, ultrasonic sensors and actuators, ultrasonic nano fabrication, etc. He is a Chang-Jiang Distinguished Professor, China, and an IAAM Fellow. He was an assistant and associate professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, from 2001 to 2010, and an R&D engineer at Tokin, Japan, from 1997 to 1999. He authored and co-authored more than 300 publications, including more than 100 full research papers published in SCI journals, three monographs, 1 editorial review in an international journal and more than 60 disclosed/empowered China and Japan patents. He is the sole author of monograph books “Ultrasonic Micro/Nano Manipulations: Principles and Examples” (2014, World Scientific) and “Ultrasonic Nano/Micro Fabrication, Handling And Driving”（2024, CRC）. He has given more than 30 keynote/invited lectures at international conferences, and his research work has been highlighted by 7 international scientific media. He served lots of international conferences as a Chairman/Honorary Chairman/Co-chair/Technical Program/Organizing/Scientific Committee member (China, USA, Germany, Japan, etc). He won the Paper Prize from the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (Japan) as the first author in 1998, and IAAM Scientist Medal in 2023. He was once supported by the Shuang-Chuang Project of Jiangsu Province, China, as a “Shuang-Chuang” expert. Presently, he is an editorial board member of four international journals, board member of Chinese Acoustical Society and member of its academic work committee, and deputy director of expert committees on electronic information materials and devices, and on Aerospace materials, Chinese national think tank for materials and devices.

Ming Zhang received the Ph.D. degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Science and Technology from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics(NUAA), Nanjing, China, in 2009. In June 2009，he joined the College of Aerospace Engineering, NUAA, as a Lecturer, where, in 2011 and 2019, he became an Associate Professor and a Professor, respectively. From December 2014 to December 2015, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Mechanical & Materials Engineering, The University of Nebraska–Lincoln, USA. His current research interests include overall design of landing gear, nose wheel steering and anti-shimmy system design, landing gear shimmy dynamics, aircraft landing, taxiing, braking, and ground handling dynamics, nonlinear dynamics, and modeling and simulation of aircraft system. He has authored 80 peer-reviewed journal papers and 32 Invention patents.

Dr. Truong Dinh is an Associate Professor of Energy Management and Control Systems within Energy Applications Group in WMG, the University of Warwick. He is an Alan Turning Fellow, an HEA Fellow, an IEEE senior member. He has published over 200 scientific papers (including 85 high quality journal papers, 04 patents, 03 books and book chapters) in areas of mechatronics, automation and control, energy management and optimisation, and applications to energy and transportation systems. He has delivered more than 20 keynote and invited talks at renowned conferences and industrial events. He has received 13 journal and conference paper awards. He has generated a research funding portfolio of circa £15m across projects in fields of mechatronics, automation in heavy industries, intelligent energy - transportation systems. He is technical committee member of IEEE-IES – Motion and Control Section; chapter vice-chair of IEEE-CIS Region 8; editorial members of several international journals and IEEE Trans. He is the general co-chair and publication co-chair of the IEEE IES International Conference on Mechatronic Technology 2019 to 2023.

Dr. Wei-Xi Huang is currently a full professor in Department of Engineering Mechanics at Tsinghua University. His research focus is on numerical study of turbulent flows on the complex boundaries. Prof. Huang is also interested in computational biofluid mechanics. He has been developing computational methods for fluid-flexible body interactions, with the goal of simulating and obtaining physical insight into problems from biomechanics. Prof. Huang received the National Natural Science Fundation of China for Excellent Young Scientists in 2013. He is now the associate editor of Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, and Proc. Inst. Mech. Eng.-Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science. He is also in the editorial boards of International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow, Journal of Hydrodynamics, Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters, and Advances in Aerodynamics.

Prof. Jong-Shinn Wu received his MS and BS degrees both in Mech. Eng. of National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1986 and 1988, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Eng., U. of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, in 1994. He then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow until 1995 in the same department. Later he worked at the NSPO of Taiwan for two years. He then joined the Dept. of Mech. Eng. of NCTU, Taiwan, in 1998 until now as a Distinguished Professor and the director of ARRC. He has been working on rarefied gas dynamics, low-temperature plasma physics, kinetic-based numerical schemes, hybrid rocket propulsion, plasma medicine, and parallel scientific computing. He received many important awards including the Taiwan's Outstanding Research Award of NSTC (National Science & Technology Council) in Taiwan and Japan's ISPlasma Special Recognition Award. He has been on the editorial boards of Coating and Aerospace for many years. He is now an ASME Fellow, AIAA Associate Fellow, IEEE Senior Member, AIAA Hybrid Rocket Technical Committee member, and Emerging Plasma Nanotechnologies (TC 17 member) of the IEEE Nanotechnology Council. He was on leave to be the Director General of the Taiwan Space Agency, Taiwan in 2021.
